I am a visual artist who lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium. My paintings, drawings and installations are the result of my fascination with lifestyle design, mass media and internet culture. I work with conventions that I encounter in my own reality and question them by removing them from their context and isolating them. My works are always in close dialogue with my environment and the space in which I find myself, both physically and emotionally. I work with different layers and abstract forms that together construct a twisted perspective. This combination serves as the backdrop for my subject. The bright colors and clean lines are influenced by pop culture, graphic design and nostalgia. Each work can be seen as a still of a scene in which I let the individual elements perform together..
